Courtyard by Marriott Houston Hobby Airport

This airport is super close to Hobby, so it’s convenient, but it’s not overall a great area to stay in. The hotel feels a little seedy when you pull up, and there are gates/arms you are supposed to go through but the arms were up the entire time I was there so I’m unsure of the additional safety added. The rooms are dated but clean, and I didn’t have any issues with mine. The only issue I encountered was that, regularly, there was no one at the front desk for long amounts of time. When I arrived to check in, myself and another guest were standing in line at the desk for 15+ minutes with no one there. I finally gave up and went to my room - I had my mobile key assigned but needed to understand parking, the same as the other guest - but decided it wasn’t worth waiting anymore since it was already late (10pm-ish). When I did eventually interact with people at the front desk, the were always very nice.

We arrived after our connecting flight was canceled. A 2 hour flight from Ft Lauderdale to Houston took 4 hours as we had to fly up to Kentucky to get around a storm. Southwest canceled my second flight home and then told me it would take 2 hours to get my bag off the plane that was being unloaded! I arrived at the Marriott quite upset and exhausted. Mahogany at the front desk was beyond pleasant and helpful. In fact other than my wife she was the first person who was nice and kind to me all day. It changed my day. She quickly helped us check in and gave great advice on getting food late night. The staff here has been awesome! Couldn’t recommend this hotel more if you need to stay out by the Houston Hobby airport.

This is a Gen 1 property, location is good for airport, not much else. However the property itself is well maintained. The night auditor Kristen, was super helpful for letting me walk in at 1am after the Fairfield Inn down the street canceled everyone's reservations without cause or remedy. I appreciate this property helping out during the management missteps of an adjacent property.

Angela is amazing!!! My survey is not good enough to express the way she works and how great her service is. Very empathic, treat guests with care and always demonstrate how much she cares about her job. You need more people like her.

I have stayed here several times since this place is literally walking distance from my work commitment that I have there twice a month. Staff is friendly, the shuttle is very convenient to take me to work and then to the airport afterwards. Food and drink is a little pricey, so I’ve started bringing my own. The prices belong at the big Marriott next-door not in a baby sister Marriott. Having $40-$60 bottles of wine in a “work man’s” hotel is too high. Last time I was there, the icemakers for the guests on all floors did not work. I hope that got fixed.

The staff made my check in process amazingly smooth. Everyone was extremely welcoming and pleasant. The true shining star is definitely Mahogany. Warm welcome and she resolves any issue minor or major swiftly with no inconvenience to the customer. She is a true gem for the company. I will be back!

My Dad and sister from out of town came out and stayed at this hotel. They have the most friendly, thoughtful, and caring people working there. They really understand hospitality! Shout out to Brenda at the front desk and another beautiful lady with braids in a ponytail and a beautiful smile named Maria helped my family when my Dad got confused -very patient, nurturing and kind.Highly recommend!

We had such a great experience at the Courtyard Marriott! It may not be the fanciest hotel out there, but it’s consistently clean, comfortable, and has everything you could want—pool, breakfast, a cute little bar, and a cozy vibe that makes you feel at home. What really made our stay extra special was Mahogony at the front desk. She went above and beyond from the moment we checked in—so kind, welcoming, and genuinely caring. By the end of our stay, she felt like family. We loved it so much we came back for a second trip and were just as happy. Highly recommend!
